TWO PICKED UP FOR STEALING SCRAP - January 27, 2012
On January 26, 2012 at approximately 11:38 AM Darke County Sheriffs Deputies along with Preble County Sheriffs Deputies responded to 62 Billman Rd., in southern Darke County, on a complaint of subjects possibly on the property stealing scrap metal. Upon arrival Deputies confronted two subjects in possession of items from the property. Both subjects were apprehended without incident.
Arrested was David Elliot, 44, of Greenville. Mr. Elliot was booked into the Darke County jail on Breaking and Entering charges, and on a parole violation. Also arrested was Michael Jones, 34, of Greenville. Mr. Jones was also booked into the Darke County Jail on charges of Breaking and Entering, and also on an outstanding Darke County warrant recently issued by Darke County Adult Probation. Mr. Jones is currently awaiting sentencing in Darke County Common Pleas Court on another unrelated charge.
This case remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriffs Office.
