MIAMI COUNTY MAN ARRESTED - February 25, 2015
Miami County detectives recently obtained arrest warrants for Zachary R. Lucas, age 33, from Troy for his involvement in numerous thefts in eastern Miami County over the past several weeks. The arrest warrants were for breaking & entering, burglary, and several counts of theft. Detectives have linked Lucas to at least 18 different property crimes in Miami County. He would typically target vehicles and out buildings to commit theft offenses to fuel a drug problem. Tuesday afternoon, officers with the Troy Police Department located Lucas at a residence on Todd Lane. Lucas fled out the back door of the residence and was apprehended shortly thereafter by Troy officers. Some recovered stolen property was recovered at the residence Lucas fled from. Lucas was subsequently incarcerated in the Miami County jail.
