2nd Annual Horse Poker Run:  September 4 – 5 at the Ansonia Ball Park, Ansonia.  Gates open at 5PM on Friday with primitive camping sites available.  Saturday, 10AM first horse or horse drawn wagon out for Poker Run.  5:30, Chicken BBQ from Ansonia FFA, $7/dinner, 8 – midnight, entertainment.  Sunday, 10AM first unit out, 5:30 hog roast & chili proceeds to Ansonia FFA Alumni.  Any questions please call 423-8449.

New Weston Community Improvement Brunch:  Sunday, Sept. 5, 8 – 12 at the New Weston Community Hall.  Cost is 13 and over/$5; 5-12/$3 and 4 and under/free.

Greenville Business Professional Women’s Club Dinner Meeting:  Tuesday, Sept 7 is the last day to maker reservations for the Sept. 9 dinner meeting.  This event will be at the BRC Community Center Private dining room and topic for the evening will be “Get to Know the Commissioner Candidates”.  Cost is $10/person and will begin at 6:30PM.  Everyone welcome and reservations can be made by calling 548-1414.

Randolph Eastern PTO Scholastic Book Fair: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sept. 7, 8 & 9 from 9AM – 3PM & Friday, Sept. 10, 10AM – 1PM in the west side/UCCHS Cafeterium and the next week it will be at the North side multi-purpose room.

Versailles Health Care Open House:  Thursday, Sept. 9 will be 2 tours to show off their new renovations and rehab gym.  The breakfast tour will be from 7 – 9AM and the hors’deudres tour will be from 4 – 6PM.  Come enjoy a tour and sign up for a $500  gift card drawing.  No reservations needed.  For more information call 526-5570.

Greenville City Schools Adult Basic & Literacy Education Classes: Fall quarter enrollment for morning GED & college preparation classes will be Thursday, Sept. 9, 9AM at the Greenville South Park Recreation Center.  Call 548-4188, ext.853 for more information.

State of the Heart Hospice “Celebration of Women”:  Friday, Sept. 10, 7:30AM – 3PM at the Lighthouse Christian Center will be a one-day event “Celebration of Women”.  There will be speakers, free food and door prizes.  Cost is $35 or $50 is a person wants contact hours.  For more information call 547-5973.

Road Hogg Kids Rodeo:  Saturday, Sept. 11, gates opening at 12:30 with activities beginning at 2.  Bicycle & motorcycle games for the kids and parents and free admission.  This event will be held on Richmond Palestine Rd., New Madison.  Come have a great day of fun.

Lockington Fire Dept 9-11 Special Event:  Saturday, Sept. 11 beginning at 9AM will be a 9-11 Memorial Parade in Lockington.  Following the parade will be the 3rd Annual Car Show.  Registration will be fro 10 – 12.  Flag folding ceremony at 2:30PM and live entertainment by the Stallions.  Food & drinks available.  Come; join us in honoring those lost in the 9-11 attacks.  For more information call 937-606-0919.

New Madison American Legion Chicken Supper:  Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Legion Hall on Fayette St, New Madison will by a Chicken supper beginning at 5PM until sold out.  This is an all you can eat at the cost of $7/per dinner and carry out is available

Rossburg Firefighter Breakfast:  Saturday, Sept. 11 from 7 – 11AM at the Fire House in Rossburg.  Cost is $6 for pancakes, eggs, sausage patty, toast & drink.  Come join us and catch your favorite firefighters cooking and cleaning.

Greenville Masonic Lodge Breakfast Buffet:  Saturday, Sept. 11, 7 – 11AM at the Greenville Masonic Temple, Memorial Dr., Greenville will be an all you can eat buffet.  Donation of $6/adults and $3/children, 12 and under.  Everyone invited.

Spaghetti Supper:  Saturday, Sept. 11, 4 – 7PM at the St Paul United Church of Christ, W Third St, Greenville annual spaghetti supper.  Spaghetti, salad, breadsticks, drink for the price of $6/adults and $3/children under 12 and homemade desserts will be available.  Carryout available.
